Birthday :)

I know, I have been a terrible blogger lately!! I'm sorry! I do have some great pictures to show you from Hudson's birthday party, though. We had a great time. It was a train "theme" - he loves to hear the train coming, so I thought it would be appropriate :) The cake was amazing - one of my friends from the school I taught at made it for us. Everyone raved about it. We also had a mini waterpark outside (I don't have those pictures yet) and the kids had fun splashing around out there with all the water toys. :)
We had a great time with our friends and family. It is a blessing to have events like this because you are lucky enough to have a lot of the dearest people in your life in one place. We missed those of you who couldn't make it!

Birthday pic's are on the way, and pics of our friends the Links coming to visit, but until then..Check out this video. Wow! Jesus really does love us and want us to believe in Him and trust Him with our lives. It's not just something we sing about in nursery as a child or in youth group as a teenager... it's TRUE. He longs to spend time with us, carry our burdens, erase all the terrible sins we've done and still do, and be our source of comfort, protection, love. We don't need anyone else in our lives but Him. He desires ME. Wow, how can he love ME? Hard to grasp, but TRUE. Powerful video. Please watch and be moved by Christ's love for you.

Happy Birthday Hudson!

My words can't accurately describe the wonder and the gift that God gave us through Hudson - every time I think about the blessing I received in Him, I just cry. So, until our wild and crazy birthday party tomorrow, here is a little snapshot of the amazing year that we have had and the utter JOY it has been for the Lord to give us the opportunity to parent this beautiful boy.

Ready for First Grade!

I wanted to find something a little more easy to look at as the latest post on our blog, so I carried the camera around yesterday. Hudson gave me the perfect post - he decided that he wanted to read you all a story or two. Not for the weak stomachs...

This blog not only shows you the joys of parenthood, but the hardships as well. Pregnant or new mommy friends... get ready :) heehee! Do not look at the next picture if you get sick easily.





"Good morning mommy! Surprise!" that is what Hudson seemed to say this morning when I went to get him. Yes, it is what you think it is.... poop! I found this and a smiling happy baby when I walked in Hudson's room this morning. Needless to say, we took a bath this morning :) And now I must go wash. Have a great mess-free day! :)

One more first for Hudson.... we turned his car seat around! He loves it. He just gazes out the window watching everything around us. Oh, and dancing - he dances in the car a lot more now :)

He really enjoyed it for about 45 min. and then he hit his limit. I have to say, I had a pretty good time out there too! I used Hudson as my excuse for running through the water and playing with the sprinklers :)
