Memorial Day Beach Trip with the Links 2008

I am going to bore you with a LOT of pictures from our awesome beach trip that we just returned from!  It was hard to pick and choose just a few!  We had a great time despite Hudson's apprehension of the beach at the beginning and the continuous "no's" that we heard throughout the week from our almost 2 son :)  (It will be very interesting when there is a sibling running around in Hudson's space every day!)

This was our first day at the beach.  Everything, the sand, the brightness, the scary ocean... brought about a dislike of the beach at first, as you can tell with the picture below!
Here is our sweet friend Madi in her oh, so cute cover up and hat - the beach was a little cool sometimes during the week.  I honestly put this picture in here because I thought Hudson was crying in the background, which would give you a better understanding of how a lot of our time on the beach went, but he may have been tasting the sand...

Adult Night!!!  Whoo Hoo!  Matt's sweet parents stayed with the kids so we could go out together.  Nothing's better than good seafood at the beach with great friends.

A couple of days later.... Hudson's starting to get used to the beach - he's figuring  out the fun of never ending sand! 
Awww...  just for the record - Colin was so wonderful - letting me read on the beach while he went back up for Hudson's nap!  He's the best!

A rainy morning - we were a little tired from all the previous days at the beach (and the 6:15 mornings!  Why couldn't the kids recognize that you sleep IN on vacation?)

Our other obsession during the week besides the beach - games, and more specifically, Cities and Knights of Catan - a rather LONG game.  The winners for the week (in order):  Matt, Colin, Pat  - what happened with the girls?

My FAVORITE picture - they weren't saying no to one another :)  and I can't wait to show them this picture when we are going to the beach together in about 15 years! haha

Hudson is IN the water - He LOVED it!  Too bad we waited until the end of the week to get him in the water!  He was splashing and kicking and putting his face in the water - I was so excited for him!  Here he is waving with Colin.

So, by the end of the week, we were all happy with the beach (except for Colin's sunburn) and it was such a wonderful time.  We felt so blessed to be able to go and enjoy the beach with our great friends.

I made homemade pizza dough..... but I forgot I was cooking it.  It's pregnancy brain.  We should have saved that pizza dough to take to the beach as a frisbee, it was hard as a brick! :)

My first piece of artwork done by Hudson - the nursery worker said they couldn't get both hands - he didn't really like it the first time :)  It's still irreplaceable to me!

We started a bad habit - while cleaning the yard, we would let Hudson play in the back seat of the car ( we would keep a close eye on him).  Looks like we started a bad habit....

Here are some Easter Pics - I know it's a month late :)  But, they're still cute!

Hudson loved his Easter gift... and still does!  He is a huge train fan!
Hunting Easter eggs - well, hunting TWO Easter eggs.  Once he found two, he was done! He was satisfied with playing with those two.  (And he discovered the jellybeans in them too!)

We have been wanting to do this for a while, but it has been pretty difficult to get a picture that is halfway decent! (Thanks for taking the great picture, Shan!!) :)  We are expecting a new little bundle of fun in November!   We are very excited!
